After releasing their debut album Nacht in 2015, Jungfrau have toured the UK with Taman Shud, alongside Brighton shows supporting Rats on Rafts, Eternal Tapestry, Acid Mothers Temple, USA Nails, Lower Slaughter, Flowers Must Die, Witching Waves, The Rebel, Tweak Bird, Chris Cohen, Anthroprophh, My Disco, Mugstar, Teeth of the Sea, Naam.

The Jungfrau is a peak just over 4,000 meters in the swiss alps, it's also the name that a group from the south coast chose for their recent project, never has a band been so aptly named (apart from possibly codeine).
Glass Neck reflects their namesake beautifully, glacial locked-grove bass and drums with snow peaked accents from echo'd guitar lines and white out electronics all topped off with etherial, soft, banshee like vocals that whip in between the peaks and valleys created by the rest of the group.

The songs work the same way as ascending the mountain they're named after, the beginning full of a mixture of contemplation and anticipation, then the trials and tribulations of fatigue and pain setting in, finished by the elation at the summit.

Beginning to sound more 'produced' now,I think...production values rise with experience ("tradecraft", as Le Carre called it) but the band has yet more 'edge' and confidence...this is mature work and it feels like they are discovering their true identity and potential...the extended jam feel of some earlier music now seems a little more purposeful and focused...that's great,because there feels like so much more to come from DSA in the future and all the hard work is paying off...
